The advantages of using alnico magnets are: good corrosion resistance, good resistance to high temperatures, important thermal stability.
In fact, in alnico we find a high residual induction, interesting mechanical properties and a Curie temperature around 800 °C.
On the other hand it must be said that the high residual induction is often nullified by the reduced coercive force, which makes the magnetization of the product almost mandatory once the assembly process is completed so as not to leave the magnet with an "open magnetic circuit".
Alnico is particularly suitable for electromechanical relays, measuring instruments, sensors, lifting systems, loudspeakers.
